I believe they started funding kids. In short they made schools agree not to raise tuition more then they were doing previously and agree to some sort of audit. I know they raised some serious money. Donors need to give and parents need to apply for this to work. As of now parents are finding out about directly from their school and schools that did not yet join parents can pressure them to do so. I think they structured the help that parent schools and the program all contribute 3k towards the tuition. Also they plan on making this a Lakewood based SGO if NJ joins to make sure Lakewood helps lakewood and schools dont have all the control.

Everyone should sit tight. I know these people doing this and they are going all in. I do know they ran into some trademark issues with the names and they are changing it to “The Tuition partnership” and all the details will be posted in the next day or two.

To address Meir G’s points, I know the schools had to agree to a very serious agreement form that they will not raise tuition and continue to give the breaks they gave until now. They also had to agree to a potential audit if there is reason to believe misconduct with these funds. This program has the most trusted names behind it. There were no cutting corners here. As far as funding, it seems today that every good cause we find the money for but compared to the importance of education it seems like we are saving the whales. This is the basics and most important expense and somehow is overlooked by our community

All schools had to sign an agreement that they will not raise the tuition and must keep their raises however they did them over the last 5 years. And also had to agree if there is suspicion of misconduct, they will be audited. This program is not playing around and has the most trusted names in town behind it.

I think once a student is approved people can see that info.

When you try to apply it shows what schools are so far part of this program.

I believe one could see the schools that are part of the program once they apply. Also the site says donors can pick which kid they want to sponsor. It could be only after they are approved that happens. Not sure…
