Vishnitzer Rebbe Bans Multimedia Presentations at Dinners

Shortly before leaving for a trip to the United States, the Vishnitzer Rebbe Shlita released a letter to the directors of his mosdos in which he bans multimedia presentations at dinners held in honor of the chassidus’ mosdos.

The rebbe tells them that one may not display photos of such events in any venue, adding there may not be an electronic screen of any kind at dinners of mosdos, referring to multimedia and other displays, Chadrei Chareidim reports.

  1. He hinted at the Hurricane exactly three weeks ago.

He said that the un-holy streets of NY will have to be rinsed with two meters of water, before he can step foot onto them.

Nobody knew what he meant then.

  2. why not, it is a kal v’chomer, if one is forbidden to use a pencil made of plastic, for certain a projecter that is made with more plastic is certainly assur.

    yada, yada, yada…

  3. Craziness!

There is NOTHING wrong with using the Aibishters creations for Yiddishkayt reasons. Maybe stop using the phones or airplanes!!!!

This is why the Rambam writes that a manhig needs to have a farshtand in worldly matters. He must think this is a television or so (and that is me being dan likaf zechis for him).
