Yeshaya Kaufman z”l, 15, was niftar during the night (Tuesday to Wednesday) 21 Shevat 5774 in Yerushalayim. The young talmid explained he was not feeling well during a chasenah and a few minutes later went to the restroom, where he collapsed into cardiac arrest.
EMS was summoned to Salant Street and responders began CPR, then transporting the victim to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The talmid was a son of Rav Aryeh Yehuda Kaufman, a well known family in the Satmar community.
It is reported the young talmid was healthy and not known to be suffering from any maladies.
