Passing Of Well-Known Gastroenterologist At Mount Sinai Hospital Dr. Shaul Gershon (Saul G.) Agus Z”L


sYWN regrets to inform you of the passing of Dr. Agus who has played an integral role as a world renowned Gastroenterologist at Mount Sinai Hospital, for over 45 years. He had his private practice on Fifth Avenue in Manhattan, and also practiced at ParCare Medical Center in Williamsburg.‎

Dr. Agus was a strong advocate for the JCCSG organization being a sounding board of advice, guidance, and affection, he saved countless lives, even in very difficult times when other doctors gave up and weren’t even ready to play around and to try different treatments, he would jump in and not give up!. He would never hesitate to respond to emergencies 24 hours a day, seven days a week, he was a true warm Yid!

Dr. Agus had a sterling personality and unbelievable self-sacrifice to patients around the world suffering from gastrointestinal diseases, he accepted someone else’s pain and suffering as his own, Dr. Agus was the personal doctor and close to many Admorim and Gedolei Yisroel from all sections of Judaism.

The Levaya will take place today, Thursday‎, April 23, at ‎11:00am‎, at Congregation Ahavas Torah, 240 Broad Avenue, Engelwood, NJ, 07631.

He left behind his wife Marcelle Agus, and kids, Ranan, Yosef and Elizur Agus and Michal Fox.

Shiva will be observed through Wednesday morning, April 29 at the home of Idit and Yosef Agus, 390 Booth Avenue, Engelwood, NJ 07631. Tell: 201-608-5144.
