Video shows a group of New Yorkers doing their best to catch a runaway dog, which ran two miles across the city.

The good Samaritans didn’t give up even as the dog crossed several busy intersections and entered the busy FDR Drive.

The dog was eventually cornered and safely retrieved before being reunited with its owner.

Good Samaritan Ricky Bernstein says the dog’s owner took off with barely a thank you.
