White House BANS CNN Reporter Jim Acosta For Getting Physical With Female Staffer at Trump Presser

The White House has banned CNN’s Chief White House correspondent Jim Acosta on Wednesday night, after he got physical with a female White House staffer during a fiery exchange with President Donald Trump at a press conference earlier in the day.

White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders confirmed Acosta’s credential had been revoked, until further notice.

“President Trump believes in a free press and expects and welcomes tough questions of him and his Administration,” Sanders said in a statement. “We will, however, never tolerate a reporter placing his hands on a young woman just trying to do her job as a White House intern.”

Acosta confirmed the news himself on Twitter, and shared video of security taking away his pass.

Earlier on Wednesday, Acosta had peppered Trump with questions and refused to give up the microphone as he asked about the caravan of migrants attempting to illegally enter the United States, as well as the Russia investigation.

“That’s enough. Put down the mic,” Trump ordered Acosta, as a female White House aide tried to take the microphone from him.

However, Acosta initially refused to turn it over and instead pushed her arm down.

“I tell you what, CNN should be ashamed of itself having you working for them. You are a rude, terrible person, you shouldn’t be working for CNN,” Trump said.

As Acosta continued speaking, Trump added: “You’re a very rude person. The way you treat Sarah Huckabee Sanders is horrible. You shouldn’t treat people that way.”

The White House statement: “This conduct is absolutely unacceptable. It is also completely disrespectful to the reporter’s colleagues not to allow them an opportunity to ask a question. President Trump has given the press more access than any President in history.

Contrary to CNN’s assertions there is no greater demonstration of the President’s support for a free press than the event he held today. Only they would attack the President for not supporting a free press in the midst of him taking 68 questions from 35 different reporters over the course of 1.5 hours, including several from the reporter in question.

The fact that CNN is proud of the way their employee behaved is not only disgusting, it‘s an example of their outrageous disregard for everyone, including young women, who work in this Administration.”

CNN initially defended Acosta, releasing a statement that focused on Trump’s rhetoric about the media, which they called “un-American.”

CNN defended Acosta again on Wednesday night, arguing that his press pass had been revoked out of “retaliation for his challenging questions”, and the network accused Sanders of lying about Acosta’s actions.

“(Sanders) provided fraudulent accusations and cited an incident that never happened. This unprecedented decision is a threat to our democracy and the country deserves better,” CNN said. “Jim Acosta has our full support.”

  1. Civil Unrest & Dem Violence PRESS ALERT :

Some Matt miller, former AG croc swamp , has just issued a call to take to the streets because of Sessions firing on a fake news cable station ..
Here it comes again folks…. Whipping up frenzy on friendly Trump hating outhous—–Oops… I mean outlets by the accursed Progressives with a wink & a nod from the DemStench… Nice..
Has anybody ever heard a Conservative or Republican advocate violence?? NO.
Yidlibs who voted Dem, watch out…… Maybe old hag MAXine might punch you as you chow down at the kosher Chinese deli.
But division and polarization is Trump’s fault.

  2. Costa Rica wasn’t reporting the news. He was making the news. It was always about him. Good riddance.
If a reporter would of been even half as belligerent to his highness Obama as this lowlife is to President Trump, he would of been deemed a racist and would of been roundly banned for life. The Libs can dish it out but they can’t take it in.

  3. Trump can’t deal with questions. What a little pathetic child. His only recourse is to accuses Acosta of something that he quite clearly didnt do in order to attempt to justify his own gutless actions.

Perhaps Chuck Grassely should investigate Trump and Huckabee Sanders for spreading false assault alligations.

    Don the Con.

  4. I watched this in real time, he never struck at her or attempted to get physical. But this is a necessary move for the president and will lead up to a completer ban on CNN being part of the credentialed press at the WH. We saw on 11/5 who the chosen mouthpieces are.

  5. Funny how the media is up in arms about trump revoking the ”poor guys ” press pass for allegedly touching a girl.
Theoretically he can revoke the pass just because he wants to although it would be terrible optics.
Where are the same reporters to scream about how horrible it is to fabricate stories about rape simply to prevent someone from getting a seat on the Supreme Court????
Perchance that’s a bit more serious?
For some reason Mr Costa is quiet about that
He can only be a big boy and ask tough questions against trump

  6. Go Pupa Go:
The only proven abuser is the White House is Trump.
He boasted about his abuse on tape.
You are correct that the abuser in the White House only causes problems.

  7. Acosta never touched her but held on to the microphone as she tried to pull it away….any physical contact was inadvertent and a result of her pulling on the microphone in his hand. Having said that, and while I have great respect for Acosta in the tradition of reporters from BOTH sides who doggedly and stubbornly try to get their questions answered, I think the relationship between him and the WH press and Trump has become so toxic that it restricts CNN’s ability to cover and report the news. Reporters should cover the news and Acosta has become part of the news he is supposed to cover. If CNN is smart, they would elevate him to a senior anchor or commentator and appoint a somewhat lower key replacement correspondent. Sadly, the Trumpkopf will not change and no reason to give him an excuse to evade tough questions from CNN.

  8. crazykanoiy, I remember during the Kavannagh hearings what you were like .”I’m with her”, “#METOO!”, “I believe her”. This female staffer was clearly ‘armed’ by Acosta. So I’m going to go with I BELIEVE HER!

I expect not hypocrisy from a liberal like you, only fairness and equality.
#ME TOO Crazykanoiy #ME TOO!!! I BELIEVE HER!!!!

  9. BIG mistake for sanders to try and spin it as physical abuse of a female whitehouse intern. The whole world can see it wasn’t anything like that. Banning him for ‘not acting with decorum’ or ‘disrespect for the office of the president’ would have been enough reason to ban him. Big mistake- played into Cnn’s hands….

  10. Sanders has no control over what she says. Her boss has dictated how he wants reality “spinned” from the first hour he took office. Remember her poor predecessor Sean Spicer who the Trumpkopf forced to go out to the briefing room on the day after the inauguration to lie about the crowds on the mall being the largest in history?? Spicer has said in his book that he routinely had to change facts to conform to Trump’s instructions. Kellly Conway says the WH can create their own “alternative facts” that may contradict what you know you just saw live or on tape. She is a woman who sadly has no self-respect and is willing to go along with this shtus for reasons that are irrelevant.
