HATE IN WILLIAMSBURG: Hasidic Man Attacked Walking Home From Shul on Friday Night [SHOCKING VIDEO]

A Hasidic man was attacked in Williamsburg on Friday night, and the NYPD are investigating the incident as a hate crime.

A spokesperson for Williamsburg Shomrim tell YWN that the incident occured on Friday night at around 6:30PM, at the corner of Throop Street and Wallabout Avenue. The victim was standing with his young son talking to another man on the street corner, as they walked home from Shul.

Suddenly, a man walked up to the victim, and attacked him. The victim was punched in the head from behind, sending him falling to the floor.

In the news report below, Jewish men report they caught up to the suspect but had to let him go when they couldn’t find a police officer.

Later, a passing police car was flagged down, and officers chased the suspect. Unfortunately, he managed to get away.

The NYPD hate Crimes Task Force are investigating the incident, and are asking the public if anyone has any information which can assist in locating the suspect – who is a Hispanic male in his 30’s.

The attack comes less than a week after a Hasidic child was attacked just a block away, breaking his nose as he was shoved to the ground. The suspect in that attack remains on the loose as well.

If you have any information, please call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) and then call Shomrim 24 hour hotline at 718-237-0202.
