WATCH: Ilhan Omar Runs From CNN Reporter When Pressed On BDS Support

CNN reporter Manu Raju approached Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) on Tuesday and asked her two questions that seemed to get under her skin.

The first question was if she “considered Israel an ally of the United States”.

OMAR: “Israel is an ally of the United States and I think as much as you would look to your neighbor, to your friends, to live out the same values as you are, we want to make sure that our allies are living out the same values that we push for here.”

The second question was “Why do you support BDS?”

Instead of answering, Omar simply ran away.

In a 2012 tweet, Omar accused Israel of “evil doings” and said that Israel had “hypnotized the world.” Defending that tweet this past year, she said on the same platform that calling attention to the “Israeli Apartheid regime” was not anti-Semitic.

Just last month, she defended the tweets, saying: “I don’t know how my comments would be offensive to Jewish Americans”

  1. RT, CrazyKanoiy, and GadolHatorah are all quiet when it comes to these types of stories. Don’t worry guys, there are plenty of other anti-semetic, anti-Israel, or BDS related content from Democratic leaders which you’ll have an opportunity to opine with. Sadly, becoming more and more common from the Democratic party of today.

  2. It should be noted that Being Anti Israel (anti Semites AND SATMAR, NETUREI KARTA) IS Anti Jewish! Because 7 million Jews LIVE THERE and its been around for 71 years and meaning Most JEWS LIVE THERE! So Anti israel is ANTI JEWISH! Besides being Our Promised Land and Hope for Geulah for all True Believing Jews!

  3. @BenK: WRONG

Aunti-Israel is not automatically anti-semitic. The State of Israel is not a Jewish counter, even if majority of Jews now live here.

That being said, the reason people hate Israel is GENERALLY because they hate Jews and they incorrectly see Israel as representing Judaism and the Jewish people.

  4. Being hostile towards israel, a country with full freedom of religoun and voting rights, where a major chunk of the worlds jews live, makes them by default anti jewish! And regarding satmar and neturei karta what do you call those that publicly in mass rallies rail against this small land surrounded by enemies trying to destroy them!? Where 7 million yidden live!? Shita shmitta – its a threat like rodfim!

  5. In the video Omar seems to start leaving BEFORE the reporter asks her the question about BDS. And shebwas merely walking, I think. So I don’t see her “running away” from that question.
