WATCH: Florida Law Enforcement Test New Non-Lethal ‘BolaWrap’

Will this be coming to a police department near you?

Florida law enforcement agencies have tested a new non-lethal tool known as the “BolaWrap”.

It fires a cord the company says is made from Kevlar, from a distance of up to 25 feet.

The cord wraps around the subject’s body, impeding movement. Law enforcement say it is another option to take down suspects.

The Volusia County Sheriff’s Office posted video of law enforcement testing the device.

  1. Actually, just like the gauchos (cowboys) of the Argentine pampas (plains). They invented the bola for hunting or capturing animals and large birds, and became expert in its use. Evidently their fame hasn’t reached the US, or more people would recognize that bolas are a South American tradition.
