HATE IN CROWN HEIGHTS: Black Man Deliberately Kicks Carriage Pushed By Jewish Woman [SEE THE VIDEO]

This disturbing incident occurred in Crown Heights on Monday afternoon.

A Shomrim spokesperson tells YWN that the incident happened on Sterling Street between Brooklyn and New York Avenues just after 2:00PM.

As you can see in the attached video taken from nearby security cameras, an African American male is seen walking down the street. Walking towards him is an Orthodox Jewish woman pushing a double carriage (with two children inside). In a totally unprovoked manner, the man does not walk to the side of the sidewalk, but instead walks into the carriage, lifts his foot and kicks the carriage.

The suspect nonchalantly walks away, without saying a word.

The stunned woman is seen taking out her phone as she attempts to take a photo of the man. She quickly contacts the NYPD and Crown Heights Shomrim, who are working closely on this incident.

If you have any information regarding this incident, please call the NYPD and then Crown Heights Shomrim at (718) 774-3333

  1. Don’t see this as a hate crime. More annoyed that the stroller was in his way. Not justifying it, just saying it didn’t look like a hate crime

  2. To Armedjew I have one interpretation This sick animal kick a carriage with two children in it. From the way the carriage shook it looked like he kicked it pretty hard.

  3. Please remove the fact that the alleged suspect is “black”. I agree with Ilhan Omer & the DNC. I’m very concerned about backlash against African-Americans by the Jewish Orthodox community.

  4. When I first viewed the video, I was taken back by a man kicking a stroller with 2 kids in it. After I reviewed the video a few times, I noticed a mother pushing two kids (whom presumably mean the world to her), while talking on the phone…(studies consistently show that the human brain is not really that good at multi-tasking…), not paying too much attention to her surroundings (isn’t this the first rule of safety?), who seems to be heading in the direction of the man!!!!…..Not condoning his actions at all!!! but, he was probably a bit frustrated.

  5. seriously. remove the word black from the title. stop fueling the fires of hate. The ONLY possible reason it is in the title is to convey the message that black people are violent.

that said, this was clearly unprovoked and inexcusable. to the commenters blaming the woman, shame on you. she had stopped pushing the stroller and seemed to be acting perfectly safely and reasonably. it is neither illegal nor grossly inconsiderate to briefly stop walking on a quiet sidewalk.
