TRAGEDY IN LAKEWOOD: Toddler Niftar After Being Left in Vehicle

Tragedy has struck the Lakewood community on Monday with the tragic Petira of a 21-month-old girl.

Sources tell YWN that the child was found in a vehicle, apparently forgotten there earlier this morning.

Lakewood Hatzolah found the child in cardiac arrest, CPR was initiated, and was rushed to Kimball Hospital. Unfortunately, the child was Niftar at the hospital.

News 4 citing a law enforcement source reported that the toddler’s mother tried to take her to daycare, but the toddler didn’t want to go in, so they drove home together.

At that point, there was a miscommunication about whether the toddler’s mother or father would bring the toddler in from the car, the source said.

Lakewood Police was investigating the incident.

The parents haven’t been accused of any wrong doing and face no criminal charges.

  1. My car comes up with a notice “don’t forget your cell phone.” How about “Don’t forget your child”??? Priorities, Skoda! Nebach, these poor parents, I can’t imagine the pain they are going through. Such a tragedy, Baruch Dayan HaEmet.
