YWN regrets to inform you of the passing of Miriam Maryasha A”H and Frayda Geulah A”H Engel, who were born as conjoined twins.

After their birth, many Davened and learned Torah in their Zchus. Tragically they were Niftar at just 6 months old on the first day of Shavuos.

They are survived by their parents, Avrohom Tzvi and Leah (nee Polter) Engel of Crown Heights, and their sister Esther Gittel. They are also survived by their grandparents, Rabbi and Mrs. Mendel Polter of Monsey, NY and Rabbi and Mrs. Shlomo Engel of Montreal.

The Levaya took place today at 2:30 PM, starting at Shomrei Hadas, and passed 770. The Kevurah was at the Montefiore Cemetery in Queens.

Shiva will be held at 2503 Fairlawn Ave Apt F, in Fairlawn NJ.

That must be doubly tough! What was their prognosis? Where were they conjoined? These days often conjoined twins are successfully separated and that must have raised the hopes of parents and grandparents. May the רבש”ע comfort them.
