  1. Yasher koach Reb Shloime for all the good you do and have done in various ways, such as tzedakah, askonus, etc.

    While sports may be unifying for some people, in some ways, it also can and does have a seriously divisive side with negative byproducts, such as injuries during competition, division, fighting (e.g. recent violent world cup riots), bitul zman… so I will go with the hashkafah explicated recently in Toras Avigdor, and by many gedolim past and present, and keep a distance from it.

    When it comes to השקפה I look to Torah and gedolei Torah, as Sol’s organization, Agudah, teaches, to follow גדולי ישראל rather than surrounding popular culture.
