A beautiful display of achdus is set to take place across Flatbush this Motzei Shabbos, as dozens of local shuls join together for a coordinated Selichos initiative ahead of the Yamim Noraim.
Under the banner “Join the Movement,” participating shuls will begin the evening with a 12:10 a.m. seder limud, giving mispallelim an opportunity to prepare for Selichos through Torah learning. Selichos will then begin at 12:55 a.m.
The initiative, centered around the words “לשמוע אל הרינה ואל התפילה,” seeks to transform the first night of Selichos into more than simply another tefillah — beginning the powerful season of the Yamim Noraim with Torah, tefillah and a remarkable sense of communal achdus.
With shuls throughout Flatbush participating simultaneously, the initiative is a beautiful example of an entire community coming together with one goal: to elevate Selichos and enter the Yamim Noraim with greater meaning and inspiration.
