NYC ANTISEMITISM RALLY: Major Jewish Groups To Gather Outside U.N. During General Assembly

A broad coalition of major Jewish organizations will hold a large rally against antisemitism outside United Nations headquarters in Manhattan later this month, timed to coincide with the annual gathering of world leaders for the U.N. General Assembly, The Times of Israel reported.

The rally is scheduled for September 23 at Dag Hammarskjöld Plaza, directly across from the United Nations, as the General Assembly’s High-Level Week gets underway.

Organizers include UJA-Federation of New York, the Jewish Community Relations Council of New York, the Anti-Defamation League, the American Jewish Committee, the Conference of Presidents, Yeshiva University, the Israeli American Council and StandWithUs, among others.

The organizers intend to press international leaders to take stronger action against what they describe as a growing global wave of antisemitism.

The gathering will take place one day before Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is scheduled to address the General Assembly.

One Response

  1. It is good to see organizations uniting against antisemitism. This is not a new fight. It is a constant one. The world needs to understand that antisemitism is not just a Jewish problem; it is a human problem. When one group is targeted, it opens the door for others to follow. We must stand together for basic human dignity and safety for all.
