A group of neo-Nazis staged a brazen antisemitic demonstration in Lower Manhattan on Sunday, appearing near Ground Zero as New York marked 25 years since the September 11 terror attacks.
The group appeared near the 9/11 memorial sites and City Hall while families of victims, first responders and others were gathering to commemorate the nearly 3,000 people murdered in the attacks.
Video from the scene showed the neo-Nazis wearing white shirts and khaki pants, along with red armbands bearing swastikas. Members of the group gave Nazi salutes, shouted antisemitic slogans and carried a sign targeting Jews.
In a disturbing display of how antisemitism from different extremist movements can overlap, members of the neo-Nazi group were also heard chanting “Free Palestine.”
The demonstration unfolded amid a separate anti-Muslim and anti-immigration march organized by right-wing activist Jake Lang, who was pardoned for his role in the January 6, 2021 Capitol riot. That march drew both supporters and counterprotesters.
The neo-Nazi contingent directed some of its hatred at Lang as well, displaying a sign claiming that he is Jewish and shouting about alleged “Jewish power.”
Videos of the disturbing scenes quickly spread across social media, sparking outrage over the decision by open neo-Nazis to exploit the solemn anniversary of the September 11 attacks to publicly display swastikas and spew antisemitic hatred in the streets of New York City.
Confrontations also broke out with people who condemned the extremists and their exploitation of the 9/11 commemorations. At least one person was arrested on suspicion of assault.

what am i supposed to say???
As a Jewish Maidele, I am proud of my Yiddishe Heritage, knowing that Hashem has put me here to defend His Torah and Yiddishekeit including, Tzedekah Mitzvos and Cheseds. That is my response to disruptive messages which point to my failures as a Yiddishe Neshami. We live in a country that allows free speech for ideas that conflict with our own. I have the free speech to say that I wish a Refuah Shleimah and Nachas and Hatzlocha and Parnasah on all who need these things. A response of Kindness and Mercy and Compassion is what is needed here and a turning away from all that distract us from our mission to Love Hashem and to defend all His Torah Laws, and may Hashem Judge the world with Justice Righteousness and Kindness and Mercy. We always hold out hope that those who perform acts of evil will face Hashem’s Just Judgement and change from their evil ways. If Hashem has condemned the wicked then may His punishment be swift and severe.
So Nazis thing “Genocide” is a problem? – I don’t get it…
