MORE HATE: Bomb Threats Targets Many Jewish Centers, ADL Offices

Another wave of bomb threats targeted Jewish community centers Tuesday, with facilities in New York, Florida and Milwaukee ordering brief evacuations and the Anti-Defamation League tweeting several of its offices had gotten threats.

Jewish centers in at least 16 cities across the country have been targeted today.

It’s the latest in a string of threats that has prompted evacuations of dozens of facilities in 30 states in recent months.

More than 100 such threats have been made to Jewish facilities in 33 states since the start of the year.

On Friday, authorities in Missouri arrested Juan Thompson, 31, and charged him in connection with a wave of bomb threats against Jewish community centers as part of a bizarre cyberstalking scheme to retaliate against a former girlfriend, federal prosecutors allege.

Thompson, a former writer for the online investigative publication The Intercept, was arrested in St. Louis. (He had been fired for reporting fake news.)

He is accused of making at least eight bomb threats against Jewish institutions in New York, including the Anti-Defamation League, and across the country, in the name of a woman described in court documents as a “former romantic interest.

His twitter account was filled with racist and anti-Semitic comments. He also called for President trump “to be taken out”, and one tweet stated he had returned from Senegal and was reverting back to Islam.

  1. Time to take the “kids gloves off”. Whether its right or left does not matter. This is a problem that must be handled. From the local government to the White House we need to insist strongly on action to protect Jewish institutions and people and bring those that threaten us to justice. Democrat or Republican does not matter. In the end our hope is in the One Above who has preserved us and returned millions of us to Israel and has vanquished all our enemies throughout history!
