Important Alert From Flatbush Shomrim; Protect Your Children

Pedophiles Beware: The Flatbush Shomrim Safety Patrol continues to have a zero tolerance policy for Pedophiles, Predators and Abusers. If you feel the need to abuse or behave inappropriately against someone, get help now!  Therapy will help you. If you don’t get help, you will be caught. When a call comes into our hotline we will respond and find you. In accordance with Daas Torah, you will be arrested and prosecuted.

Parents Beware: The summer months are approaching and our children will be out on the streets.  Teach them to protect themselves from being touched improperly or spoken to inappropriately. An offender’s work may take just minutes. The effect it leaves lasts a lifetime.

We would like to share the following safety tips BASED ON ACTUAL EVENTS . We’ve received complaints of abuse occurring in libraries, MTA buses, car services, parks, in the streets, etc.

* Warn your children to never accept rides from strangers. Children usually take the same route every day. They stand at the same bus stops, etc. They are vulnerable. Pedophiles know this and will wait patiently before making a move. A predator may have a beard and a yarmulke and may even be a family acquaintance.

* Encourage your child to tell you about any unusual incidents. For example, an adult acting too familiar or improperly or discussing inappropriate topics with them. Anywhere. Teach your children to be alert and to identify people by memorizing clothing description, car models, license plate numbers and other details of anyone looking suspicious.

* When at the park DO NOT send your child to the restroom alone. Pedophiles lurk around parks looking for easy targets.

* NEVER send your children alone in a car service. While most drivers are fine and hardworking people, we’ve had numerous complaints involving children and adults being victimized by predators working for car services.

Report all suspicious activity to the police first by calling 911. Then, call our 24 hour Emergency Hotline at 718-338-9797. If your call is of a sensitive nature please ask our dispatcher if you can speak with a coordinator. All calls will be kept confidential.

The Flatbush Shomrim wishes everyone a safe and enjoyable summer.

  1. yeh
i was always under the impression (YWN)
has Pedophiles who read the news
    on their website
NOW I SEE THAT I AM CORRECT.

(YWN) be carefull its not nice to threaten anybody

  2. “When at the park DO NOT send your child to the restroom alone”

The above SHOULD BE obvious. Very sad that it isn’t.
What SHOULD also be obvious is…

DON’T GET SO INVOLVED IN CONVERSATIONS WITH (OR TEXTING!) YOUR FRIENDS, THAT YOU TAKE YOUR EYES OFF YOUR KIDS FOR EVEN ONE MOMENT!!!

  3. Its sad that Shomrim believes that the pedephiles get their news from YeshivaWorld and will be reading this.

    We need Moshiach desperately.

  4. Kol HaKavod Flatbush Shomrim for taking this brave step! Thank you so much for posting this, when we look back in five years it will be remember that you lead the way.

For victims and family get help abuse thrives on silence, for predators get help if you admit your wrong and seek help we will have rachmus on you. You did not ask Hashem to give the the tiva but it is your responsabilty to get help.

If you fight and try to cover up abuse using dirty trick that are against the Torah it will back fire, Baruch Hashem a new day is dawning!

but we teach our kids to hitch rides and its ok to go into anyones car if he is going in the same direction. we need to teach by example.

  6. being that Israel loves to copy the US, although usually 10 years late, i hope it doesnt take 10 years to copy this in Israel. unfortanately unholy things happen in the holy country, but it is covered uo even worse than in the US.

it is about time for peados and abusers to know that judgement day will come.

maybe ZAKA will undertake this worthwhile mission and help avoid abused people living a dead life.

  7. This article was put up to warn the parents.

Why would anyone think it was meant to tell the pedophiles what steps are being taken, to catch them?

  8. #3 and #4: You don’t have to read YWN, just stay away from our kids (and you won’t feel threatened). By the way, your screen name makes a VERY LOUD statement…….

  9. #3 & #7:

Yes, it’s very possible that the pedophiles DO read YeshivaWorld. Keep in mind, they often appear to be just like anyone else in the neighborhood, and in all other aspects run a completely normal life. It could be your neighbor. It could be the teenage kid who lives down the block. It could be your brother-in-law.

Not to sound morbid, but it’s actually very likely that some of these people will see this. Hopefully they are already getting the help they need – it’s my fervent hope that soon, there won’t be any need for such a message to be sent out.

    But for now, it’s there.
