When asked to comment on the recent disqualification of the Tal Law by the High Court of Justice, HaGaon HaRav Chaim Kanievsky Shlita responded “דור שבן-דוד בא, קטגוריא בתלמידי חכמים”.
The gadol hador quoted the Gemara in Kesuvos: “אמר רבי ירמיה בר אבא, דור שבן דוד בא, קטגוריא בתלמידי חכמים”
The rav hinted this is the reason the Torah tzibur is now in this most unwanted situation. The rav has been ‘in the loop’, updated regarding goings on vis-à-vis the Tal Law, and has been quoted as recently stating “שומר השם את כל אוהביו ואת כל הרשעים ישמיד“.
Roshei Yeshiva who have consulted with the rav as how to react and prepare talmidim were told the talmidim should sit and continue learning and Hashem will assist.

It never ceases to amaze me how he sees everything through the eyes of Chazal. Its like his mind is a Shas!

We are very fortunate to have a Gaon and tzaddik like him in our midst. His advice is solid, based on true Daas Torah.
