Lieberman Insists Construction Is Ongoing, Albeit, Quietly


Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman on Wednesday, 18 Tammuz, visited the Shomron community of Maale Shomron, telling journalists there is no truth to reports there is still a construction freeze in Yehuda and Shomron.

The senior minister added 8,500 units were approved in the first half of the year. He also stated that money has been allocated for construction in Beit El as promised, and a military base is being removed to accommodate the new civilian construction.

Lieberman was accompanied by Deputy Defense Minister Eli Ben-Dahan.
