PHOTOS: Lachish Police Apprehend Burglary Ring Operating In The Area Of The Kineret

Israel Police in the Lachish District arrested four suspects, members of a group ranging in age 25 to 39-years-old, for allegedly breaking into kibbutz homes in the area of the Kinneret. Police have evidence connecting them to dozens of burglaries, citing they operated in northern and southern Israel.

Members of the group routinely used a mobility scooter which they stole from one of the kibbutzim, to transport the valuables they stole from the site.

Police report an intensive investigation led to the uncovering of the group, members of Israel’s Bedouin community in southern Israel.

Police state the group was well organized and apprehending the members was a significant success following the difficult investigation.

The four were taken into custody on Sunday, 21 Menachem Av and their remand extended until Thursday at which time they will be arraigned again. Police are completing the investigation and will soon file criminal indictments against them.
