Growing Concerns in Israel of a Possible Collapse of the PA Economy

Israeli leaders are monitoring events in PA (Palestinian Authority) autonomous areas carefully, as there is a growing number of social justice protests in autonomous areas. Israeli experts’ fear that if the PA economy is permitted to collapse it will adversely impact Israel is a number of ways.

Israel is attending the donor nation’s conference in NY and has approved of 14 USAID projects in PA areas, as was reported earlier by YWN-ISRAEL.

Seeking to boost PA employment, Israel has issued an additional 5,000 work permits along with 2,000 permits permitting PA residents to remain inside “Israel proper” at night. As such, a total of 9,000 PA residents are permitted to remain over night and 48,000 PA residents have work permits. 26,000 of that number are workers employed in yishuvim and industrial areas. Haaretz reports there are an estimated 30,000 PA residents working illegally.

  1. And if they do collapses, so what? Let the Arabs in the PLO controlled zone do what they do best, kill off their present leaders and replace them with equally corrupt and avaricious scum. The real problem is that there are so many Israelis, Europeans and Americans that are making hundreds of millions in profits from their partnership with the PLO that they will not allow them to collapse.
