Under the watchful eye of IDF soldiers, 500 mispallalim were permitted to visit Kever Yosef on Tuesday night, the eight candle of Chanukah.

It was a difficult night for soldiers as PA (Palestinian Authority) residents placed burning roadblocks along the route as well as attacking soldiers and mispallalim at the kever.

The IDF Spokesman Unit confirms the violence, adding while the group was davening, they came under attack. The soldiers used appropriate means to distance attackers and protect mispallalim, restoring order. B’chasdei Hashem, there are no injuries reported among intended victims of attacks. PA media reports a number of attackers were injured.
