1st Residents Of Har Nof & Bnei Brak Diagnosed With The Coronavirus


A 58-year-old Vizhnitzer chassid was the first Bnei Brak resident to be diagnosed with the coronavirus on Tuesday morning. The patient attended Kriyas Megillah in the large Vizhnitzer Beis Medrash in Bnei Brak on Purim night.

Vizhnitzer askanim said that the patient davened in the southern side of the Beis Medrash on Purim and everyone who sat near him, which will be determined by the security cameras, will be notified to self-quarantine.

On Purim morning, the chassid davened in the Halperin shteibel and did not participate in the Rebbe’s tischen.

The askanim are researching further where the patient spent time in the past two weeks in order to notify those who are required to self-quarantine.

A 60-year-old resident of Har Nof was diagnosed with the coronavirus on Tuesday, Kikar H’Shabbos reported.

The woman attended Kriyas Megilla in the Toldos Yitzchak shul on Rechov Katzenellenbogen on Purim night and day. Toldos Yitzchak is the shul that Interior Minister Aryeh Deri customarily davens at.

The Health Ministry will release the details of the woman’s whereabouts shortly and the full list will be available on the Health Ministry website. Meanwhile, all the women who attended the Megillah readings at Toldos Yitzchak on Purim are required to self-quarantine.
