Agudath Israel Presents: COVID-19 Resources to Help You Make It Through

As people all across the country struggle in the face of the financial havoc wreaked by COVID-19, many of Agudah’s regional offices have created guidance sheets to help individuals, businesses, and nonprofits find available resources as per the CARES Act, which provides financial assistance to individuals, small businesses, and non-profits.

Guides for Florida, Illinois, New Jersey, New York, and Ohio are available at https://agudah.org/agudah-covid-resources-by-state/. There’s also contact information for Agudah personnel in those states, if you have a question or are struggling to understand your options. Several Agudah offices have set up individual email addresses or phone numbers set up for those who are struggling with COVID-19 financial questions. New Jersey residents can email [email protected]; New Yorkers can email [email protected]. Residents of Illinois can visit Jewishchicago.info for information and updates regarding COVID-19. They can also reach out to [email protected] or call 773 754-3130. Residents of Ohio can email Agudath Israel/Gesher at [email protected] or call 216-848-0379.

The guidance that is coming out from government agencies on all these programs is changing day by day. These documents will be updated on a regular basis as we receive new information.

Rabbi A.D. Motzen, Agudah’s National Director of State Relations, spoke proudly of the hard work Agudah’s regional directors have put into these helpful resources. “This situation is unprecedented, but thanks to a team effort, Agudah was able to help its constituents. The regional directors worked with a team of volunteers, gathering the information and getting it out to the people.”
