In a move planned to take place just two days before Yom Hashoah commemorations are set to take place, the city of Jerusalem will be testing the siren system in the area of Mt. Herzl on Monday.

The system is being tested before Yom HaShoah, and a week before Yom HaZikaron, which is scheduled for Tuesday night- Wednesday morning next week.

Both of these commemorative dates have been moved up in their respective weeks so as not to coincide with Shabbos. Sirens across the country are sounded on both of these days.
