Watch: Israel Police, Shin Bet Raid Hotspots, Detain 12 Suspected Of Ties With ISIS

A day after the deadly terror attack in Hadera, Israel Police, Border Police, and the Shin Bet on Monday night raided 31 houses and various hotspots in the Wadi Ara area of northern Israel and detained 12 Arabs suspected of ISIS ties.

Wadi Ara (also known as the Arab Triangle) is where the Hadera terrorists’ hometown of Umm- al-Fahm is located and is mostly populated by Arab Israelis.

During the raid, the police seized items that could indicate support for ISIS, a police statement said.

The remand of the five people arrested after the attack on Sunday night was extended on Monday by ten days. The five include the brother of one of the terrorists who is suspected of assisting him in perpetuating the terror attack and four others suspected of ties with ISIS.

Additional raids and arrests are expected in the coming days.

Prime Minister Naftali Bennett has authorized security services to hold terror suspects in administrative detention, which means that the suspects can be held without charge – a practice that is usually used only against Palestinians in the Shomron.
