In the next weeks, many words of hesped, stories and praises will be written about HaGaon HaRav Shimon Badani, z’tl, who was niftar on Wednesday morning – about his tzidkus, his gaonus, his love for Am Yisrael and his leadership of the Sephardi Torah world.

But as the saying goes, “a picture is worth more than a thousand words” – but in this case, it’s a video.

Chareidi reporter Ariel Elharar posted a video on Wednesday following HaRav Badani petirah, writing: “Whoever wants to understand a bit who HaRav Badani, z’tl was, should watch this moving video, how he bitterly weeps while passing by his Beis Medrash and seeing it closed due to COVID regulations.”
