Shas’ Ariel Atias Leaves Knesset


atiasShas MK Ariel Atias has been speaking about taking a break from political life and he has finally left Knesset. His resignation went into effect on Sunday morning 24 Sivan at 10:00.

Atias entered Knesset in 2009, when Shas was under the leadership of Eli Yishai. Atias entered his post of party chairman a year ago. He is replaced as chairman by Avraham Michaeli. He is replaced as an MK by Yoav Ben-Tzur, with party leader calling Ben-Tzur “diligent and efficient”.

When interviewed of late by the media, Atias indicated he is taking a break from the intensive life as a MK and has signaled he may return at some future date.

  2. Spectrum, if u dont like it leave it, not everyone here goes freely on the net knowing the latest on the minute it happened, i think the ppl surfing here are ok with the grammar and the rest…
    Lets be abit positive:))
