FAA Halting All U.S. Flights to Israel Temporarily – Some European Carriers Cancel As Well

can

Israel’s Channel 2 evening news announced moments ago that the US Federal Aviation Association has decided to halt all flights to Israel for a 24 hour period. This is expected to go into effect in the coming hour, by 20:30 Israel time.

The announcement follows the announced cessation of service to Tel Aviv by major carriers, including Delta, USAirways and United.

A rocket landing in Yahud on Tuesday, near Ben-Gurion International Airport, appears to have precipitated this most unwanted situation which will undoubtedly leave many travelers stranded. Anyone with tickets is urged to contact his/her travel agent or airline for clarification.

Transportation Minister Yisrael Katz is quoted saying “There is no reason why the US should cancel flights, thereby handing a prize to terrorists”.

  1. BOYCOTT AIRLINES THAT SUPPORT HAMAS!!

Hamas is trying to terrorize the people of Israel that life should not be able to go on as usual. With the airlines halting flights they are giving Hamas EXACTLY what it wants!!!

  2. I think they are just using the excuse to cancel half empty flights so they don’t lose business. Before the rockets were striking near Ben Gurion airport as well, but since now most of the flights are very empty they are losing money.
