London: Man Charged After Anti-Semitic Incident On Golders Green Bus


arrestA man has been charged with religiously aggravated harassment and using threatening words or behaviour after an anti-semitic incident on a bus in north London.

Ian Campbell was arrested yesterday morning after an appeal by police following a report by a woman of an incident on a 102 bus between Golders Green and Muswell on September 16.

The 42-year-old, of Bowes Road, N11, was then charged with racially/religiously aggravated harassment, and using threatening words or behaviour.

The spokesman said he has been conditionally bailed to attend Hendon Magistrates’ Court on October 9.

  1. It was definately the 102 bus as the 210 bus does not run via Muswell Hill, and that is how it was reported in the newspapers. So after sitting on their hands initially, the police have finally acted. It should not need two weeks of newspaper publicity for the police to act. The person who reported the incident telephoned the police from the bus and they refused to become involved.
