Several dozen talmidim of Rav Yoshiyahu Pinto gathered at the Kosel on Monday, 4 Adar to be mispallel on his behalf as he undergoes complicated medical procedures in a NYC hospital.
The rav has undergone surgery and follow-up treatments at Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital in Manhattan. The procedures are described as serious and complicated. The rav is reportedly in a recovery room following the last procedure.
