Israeli Auschwitz Survivor May be the Oldest Man in the World

krisFollowing the recent death of Yasutaro Koide, 112, in Japan, efforts are underway in Israel to have Haifa resident Yisrael Kristal registered with the Guinness Book of Records as the oldest living man.

According to a report appearing in Haaretz, recently found documents in Poland lend credence to claims that Mr. Kristal, an Auschwitz survivor, is indeed 112.

Haaretz explains that following the death of Koide, the story spread around the world and this led to the Jewish Records Index (JRI) to act towards validating Mr. Kristal’s age. Officials of the JRI worked with the Museum of the History of Polish Jews, utilizing the database containing millions of entries. Mr. Kristal’s marriage certificate dated 1928 was recovered as well as the death certificate of his mother, dated 1910.

Haaretz adds Guinness is investigating a number of people and will be announcing the name of the new title holder, ‘oldest man in the world’.

  1. I would strongly suggest that we not put effort into publicizing this, or for that matter substantiating it. What the goyim do with respect to this, we cannot really stop. But we do not need to contribute to an AYIN HORAAH on this man. I don’t know the view of how it affects or does not affect goyim, but I noticed that Mr. Koide died shortly after his place as the oldest person alive was widely publicized. And I believe the same was true of the record holding lady before him.
