“The rav is breathing unassisted and is sitting up. There is improvement and I am hopeful that today, [Thursday, 29 Kislev], we will be taking him out of intensive care to admit him to a regular unit”, the Ravid said.
“We are trying to have him released in time for Shabbos.”
Rav Shteinman was admitted to the hospital on Sunday, after he was complaining of weakness and difficulty breathing. He was diagnosed with pneumonia.
