Rabbi Pinto — a 37 year-old-man who speaks only Hebrew — has met with all sorts of business moguls in the past … and is considered by some to be a “spiritual guide” who consults on business matters.

TMZ reports that LeBron paid in the neighborhood of 6-figures to get Rabbi Pinto to sit in on today’s meeting … in which LeBron heard presentations from several “big time” retail execs.

It’s been a big summer for the Jews — with Amar’e Stoudemire meeting with rabbis in Israel … and Shaq learning Hebrew.

  1. BH this player signed with Miami and not NY – he wouldve been an idol to so many of our heiliger neshomos. The Knicks should continue to lose and our boys will spend more time on yiddishkeit

  2. To #1 Ani Tapuach. What about the Jews from South florida??
I’m from FL and I feel terribly over this situation. But… its great that you ONLY think of NY jews…We have shuls and kollels in FL just like Brooklyn also.
    Wouldnt everyone agree?

  3. Jewishflorida,

I’m from florida too, but i think you’re misunderstanding Tapuach (or really i’m deliberately misundertstanding him)

“BH this player signed with Miami and not NY – he wouldve been an idol to so many of our heiliger neshomos. The Knicks should continue to lose and our boys will spend more time on yiddishkeit”
b/c even though we have shuls and kollels we don’t care about basketball (and sports in general)as much as NYers do, in NY the kids will really be distracted, here not so much
    therefore

  4. Lol! Lebron looks like either thinking “what’s this guy saying I hope my 6 figure isn’t going to waste” or “This guy is giving me the creeps”

  5. mbachur. very good point. I do notice a very select few kids who focus heavily on it (now that we have the dream team). The Yankees take plenty of attention from NYer’s unfortunately. I don’t think it is extremely distracting but I just dont like tone of discrediting the potential of “other neighborhoods”. Frum yidden are sincere whether in Flatbush or in Kansas City.
