Israel: Two Killed, Multiple Injured In Major Crash On Highway Six


Two people were killed in a major motor vehicle accident that took place between two jeeps and a large truck on Highway 6 near Bat Hefer. Additionally, there were numerous others injured in the accident including one person seriously injured, one person moderately injured, and five people lightly injured. United Hatzalah EMS volunteer paramedics and EMTs treated the injured at the scene before they were transported to Meir Medical Center in Kfar Saba, Hille Yaffe Medical center in Hadera and Laniado Hospital in Netanya. A helicopter evacuation took place on the highway which was closed in both directions following the accident.

United Hatzalah volunteer paramedic Muawia Kabha who was the first to arrive at the scene of the accident said: “While I was driving near the Nitzanei Oz intersection, I heard via my United Hatzalah radio that there was a serious accident on Highway 6. I rushed over and arrived in less than a minute and found a very difficult scene involving numerous vehicles in a major accident. I immediately requested backup from the dispatch and command center and asked that the Fire and Rescue Department be sent to extricate those trapped inside their vehicles. I together with other EMS volunteers ho arrived treated numerous people who were not trapped inside vehicles. We provided first aid treatment to those suffering injuries at the scene.”
