Two people were killed in a major motor vehicle accident that took place between two jeeps and a large truck on Highway 6 near Bat Hefer, as was reported by YWN-ISRAEL.

The IDF Spokesman’s Office announces the victims are both soldiers, who were laid to rest Wednesday, 29 Shevat 5778.

Golani Brigade Sgt. Bar Yakovian z”l, 19, from Netiv HaShaiyara, was laid to rest at 2:00PM in his community’s military cemetery. He was promoted to the rank of First-Sgt. posthumously.

Golani Brigade Sgt. Esto Tefso z”l, 21, from Petach Tikvah, was laid to rest at 1:30PM in the city’s military cemetery. He was promoted to the rank of First-Sgt. posthumously.

The driver responsible for the accident, a resident of the eastern capital, remains in custody and is scheduled to be arraigned on Wednesday.
