ISRAEL UNDER ATTACK: Hamas Fires 150 Rockets, Children Flee For Their Lives; IDF Pounds Terror Targets [VIDEOS & PHOTOS]

Dozens of rockets were fired into Israel on Wednesday night into Thursday morning, sending hundreds of thousands of Israelis fleeing for bomb shelters. Red alert sirens blared repeatedly, warning residents of incoming rockets.

The IDF released a statement after midnight tallying the approximate number of rockets at a staggering 70. That figure was raised to 150 as rockets continued to fly through the night.

Several rockets slammed into Sderot injuring six people, while shrapnel from an Iron Dome interceptor damaged a home in Sderot.

United Hatzalah emergency medical service (EMS) volunteers treated three victims, who were lightly injured by shrapnel in Sderot.

In addition, members of United Hatzalah’s Psychotrauma and Crisis Response Unit are treating numerous people at four different locations around the city for emotional and psychological shock following the attack and resulting red alert sirens.

At least 25 rockets or mortar shells were intercepted by the Iron Dome missile defense system, the army said.

“The majority of the rockets hit open areas,” the IDF said in a statement.

Following the barrage of rockets that were fired at Israel by Hamas in the Gaza Strip, Israel reportedly retaliated with a drone strike and later airstrikes by IAF fighter jets at Hamas targets inside the strip. The IDF said it hit 12 Hamas sites in all, including “an offensive maritime terror tunnel … several terror sites in military compounds throughout the Gaza Strip … rocket manufacturing facilities and a central logistical military complex.”

Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman called for an emergency meeting of IDF brass and security personnel at the national defense headquarters known as the Kiryah in Tel Aviv. The goal of the meeting is to obtain a situation report from all relevant parties in order to allow Lieberman to properly brief Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and decide upon a course of action.

The assembled military and security staff will also be discussing the shooting attack earlier today that was carried out on civilian construction vehicles and workers that were operating near the fence.

  1. I can’t believe Israel is making a ceasefire with the Gazan barbarians. Their signature on any document is worthless.

  2. Frankly I don’t get it. Why doesn’t the IDF use any and all measures to disable and cripple these בני זונות
once and for all. Oh are they afraid of what the UN and other bogus organizations think? I hope not.
    אם החרש תחרישי.

TEACH THESE BNEI YISHMAEL A LESSON THEY SOON WON’T FORGET.

  3. This is what happens ehen the peleg faction stops learning so they can cause total cahos throughout israel. They said it themselves, that thier learning protects them from harm but now that they took to the streets they no longer have that shmira.

  4. And the government is “busy” with more important things like getting the religious to serve in the army which is afraid to retaliate anyway

  5. How many times have we heard that “the next time we will obliterate all terror targets” and yet once again they only did a rather small operation to destroy these vermin. It’s time for a major full on assault and as Mister Ploni said, who cares what the UN and the world will say? They’ll say it anyway.
