PHOTOS: Senior Citizen Seriously Injured In Predawn Fire In Ramat Gan

At about 4:30AM Tuesday morning, 1 Rosh Chodesh Marcheshvan, emergency responders received a call for a fire in a 3-story residential complex on Tashi Street in Ramat Gan.

Paramedics and EMTs treated a 70-year-old male, who was transported from the scene in serious condition, taken to Ichilov Hospital as CPR and advanced life support were in progress. He arrived at the hospital in serious/stable condition after they succeeded in reviving him.

Paramedic David Sussia reports they worked on him for about 20 minutes until his pulse returned.

  1. Given the time of the fire as 4.30am I would assume that a smoke detector would have made all the difference in waking the occupants in good time to leave the flat – it’s time for every household to install those inexpensive devices. For a few dollars many lives could be saved!
