TRAGEDY: 19-Year-Old Bochur Suddenly Niftar After Getting Infection; Was “Masmid of Yeshiva”

Baruch Dayan HaEmmes: The young Yeshiva Bochur, Yehuda Ziat Z”L, 19, a resident of Bnei Brak, was niftar on Wednesday, the second day of Rosh Chodesh Mar Cheshvan. He was in Shir Gimmel in Yeshiva Kiryat Melech and described by many as the “masmid” of the yeshiva.

The young talmid was infected with a serious bacterium during Sukkos, and admitted to a hospital where his condition continued to deteriorate. The niftar’s parents live on Nechemia Street in Bnei Brak. His father is Rabbi Avraham Yeshaya Ziat, a nephew of Rav Yehuda Ziat, who is head of Mosdos Shetil Zeitim (‘שתילי זיתים’). His mother is a daughter of Mekubal Rav David Batzri Shlita of Yerushalayim.

The levaya was held on Wednesday from the home of the parents, passed the yeshiva and to the Yarkon Cemetery.

  1. There is no vaccine for a bacteria or immunization for a bacteria. People get sick and die from infections.

    You really are a git.

  2. Avreichahlomo, one example of a bacterial vaccine is the tuberculosis vaccine. Stubborn people who refuse modern medicine get sick and die from vaccines. Welcome to the year 2018!

  3. Baruch Dayan Ha’Emes. It’s beyond tragic. Yet, these comments all illustrate the height of insensitivity. I would say they are downright stupid, but I won’t, since it probably won’t get posted. Grow up, people. There’s a time and place for everything. THIS is neither the time or PLACE for any of the comments posted this far.
