Motzei Shabbos News Roundup From Israel

Thousands gathered on Saturday night in Rabin Square to commemorate the anniversary of the death of the former Israeli Prime MinisterYitzchak Rabin. Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu bemoaned the actions taken at the rally by the public who gathered when they booed Likud MK and Minister of Regional Cooperation Tzachi Hanegbi for the entirety of his speech.

“It is a sad thing that people have turned the memorial for former Prime Minister Yitzchak Rabin into a political rally. Those who claim to champion the ideal of the freedom of speech, attempted to silence anyone who didn’t agree with them.”

Following the memorial, Education Minister Naftali Bennett tweeted strong words about the behavior at the memorial: “The booing of Hanegbi shows that this is nothing more than an embarrassing left-wing rally. The right-wing did not kill Yitzchak Rabin, Yigal Amir did. As the leader of the right-wing that is against a Palestinian state, I am sick and tired of hearing the false accusations of the left on an annual basis. Right-wing minded people do not need to attend a rally whose sole purpose is the uprooting of the right-wing in Israel. The message of the radical left-wing of Israel is that: “The right-wing is guilty.” My message is that: “Say no to violence, and say no to civil war.” You choose.”

  1. Had Charedim been less concerned for their ruchnius
and more concerned with the ruchnius collectively of others ,the present situation have Not in all probability come to pass in Bet Shemesh ( I mean in terms of real ruchnius ,Rather than what some are contriving it to mean all of a sudden)

    Piece of advice:
Don’t worry about Those frothing ‘religious coercion’As they will most assuredly. Many will probably jump in right now and say ” that was precisely the problem” which is disingenuous and sleight of hand
There is but little which on surface as difficult And bring forth as much howling,
however in the long run reap the most for all
