Israel High Court Rules Against Police’s Demand For Autopsy On Toddler [VIDEO & PHOTOS]

A three-justice panel of Israel’s High Court of Justice on Tuesday accepted the position of attorney Dror Schussheim of ZAKA’s legal unit regarding a police demand to perform an autopsy on a toddler from a religious Ramle family. B’chasdei Hashem, the court ruled against the police request.

According to the BeChadrei Chareidim report, during the hearing, a protest was taking place on Bar Ilan Street in the capital against police and its demand to perform the autopsy.

On Monday, a toddler was found dead by her father on Hillel Avraham Street in Ramle during the early morning hours. Police launched an investigation and would not permit the issuance of a burial permit, as investigators were calling for an autopsy. The mother was questioned by police regarding death by negligence and released after questioning. ZAKA became involved and the case made its way to the High Court and B”H emerged victorious.

  1. The Israeli police are so wicked. It comes from their military days pushing around Palestinians. They have no tact, no sense that people have lives and values. It’s all about control for them.
