Terrorist Who Murderer British Tourist Hannah Bladon HY’D Sentenced To 18 Years In Prison

The Jerusalem District Court sentenced terrorist Jamal Tamimi to 18 years in prison for stabbing Chana Bladon HY”D on Chol Hamoed Pesach 5777. She was a British exchange student attending Hebrew University.

Ten days ago, the Jerusalem District Court convicted Jamil Tamimi of murdering a 21-year-old British student, Hannah Bladon, with a knife, stabbing her on the light rail in Yerushalayim on erev Shabbos Chol Hamoed Pesach. On Thursday, January 10, 2019.

The sentence that was handed down as part of a plea bargain came after Jamal had a rich psychiatric history and was diagnosed with schizophrenia. He was hospitalized for various periods in psychiatric hospitals. However, the Jerusalem District Psychiatrist and Deputy District Psychiatrist in Tel Aviv determined that he is fit to stand trial and after his actions.

According to the indictment, Jamal left the hostel where he used to stay, took a bus to Jerusalem where he bought a knife and hid it in a bag. He called his sons and asked to stay with them, but they refused and suggested that he return to the Kfar Shaul psychiatric facility from where he had been released the day before. As a result, he got mad and decided to kill.

Jamal went up to the light rail, headed for Hannah Bladon, and when she turned her back on him, he pulled the knife and stuck it firmly in the back, stabbing her six additional times in the back, arm, waist, and chest. She was transported to the trauma unit of Hadassah Mt. Scopus Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

“We know that no punishment will provide solace and will not be a real cure for the ailing family,” said attorney Sagiv Ozeri of the Jerusalem District Attorney’s Office last week. Accordingly, in view of the severity of the offense, and after the family members did not object to it, the prosecution explained that 18 years in prison for the 60-year-old defendant, would ensure he spends his remaining years behind bars.

  1. Her name was Hannah, not Chana.

MoisheInGolus, this is true, but in this case the blood spilled happened not to be Jewish.
