Tourist Caught Flying a Drone in Ben Gurion Airport

Ben Gurion Airport Security Officials arrested a man who was caught operating a drone in the airport. In a statement made by airport security, “The man is a foreign national tourist”. The man was transferred to the custody of Israeli police after he was apprehended.

Airport activity was reportedly unaffected by the incident and all flights continued as usual.

Last year, two drones were found hovering near the airport, with one of them appearing shortly after the arrival of United States Vice President Mike Pence. In both of those cases, airport traffic was shut down temporarily due to the encroachment.

  1. Article is unclear if the police think this might have been some terrorism related incident or simply the dumbest tourist to ever arrive in EY in the modern era.
