Bnei Brak Boy Injured By Firecracker

A 13-year-old boy in Bnei Brak was injured after a firecracker exploded. The boy was playing in a public yard on Radzimin Street in the city when the firecracker went off and injured him. United Hatzalah volunteers rushed to the scene and provided initial medical care until an ambulance could arrive and transport the boy to the hospital.

The EMS organization has called on parents and caretakers to prevent children from playing with firecrackers of any kind, especially as Rosh Chodesh Adar is coming up this week.

“Firecrackers cause numerous injuries and tragedies each year around Purim time. Diligence and adherence to the proper safety precautions with these devices can prevent terrible tragedies and injuries from occurring,” said a statement made by a spokesperson from the organization.
