Israel Police Execute High Court Demolition Order On Home Of Family With 8 Children in Tapuach West

Large police forces arrived on Tuesday morning at Givat Tapuach West near Yishuv Tapuach in Shomron and began demolishing the home of a family. Residents of the area reported hundreds of policemen arrived in many vehicles starting at 7:00AM and began to remove residents from the area and carry out the destruction.

This is another demolition under the auspices of the High Court of Justice, which after left-wing organizations filed a petition to the High Court claiming that the houses built on private Arab land were ordered by the court to demolish the buildings, even though the state’s response to the High Court of Justice was that the place was in the process of being legalized. As a result, the police destroyed the site several months ago.

The High Court of Justice’s ruling implied that until the settlement by authorities is in place, the neighborhood should not be built on even on land that is not private either, since the police consider the need to carry out destruction at the top of the priority list.

It should be noted that the family house that the forces destroyed belongs to a family of eight children.

Head of the Shomron Regional Council Yossi Dagan called on the heads of the defense establishment and the government to stop the evacuation: “I call on the government ministers to stop the destruction. hundreds of illegal Arab houses are on the nearby mountains, and the government is concentrating on a single Jewish home and uprooting it and its inhabitants.”

Dagan calls on the government to reconsider its policies, which he insists are not in line with a right-wing coalition.

Kol Yehudi news reports that it was learned that in the midst of the destruction, the secretariat of the town of Tapuach sent an urgent letter to the supervisor of settlement in the Ministry of Defense requesting that it prevent continued destruction from happening since the process to legalize the place in question has begun.
