Tiveria Mayor Ron Kobi Continues Speaking Out Against The Chareidi Tzibur

Tiveria Mayor Ron Kobi continues speaking out publicly against the chareidi tzibur and is once again talking about forming a new political party, telling the media, “we are currently weighing all options”.

In an interview with Ynet, the mayor explains “We need a strong right-wing party that says ‘we do not give into chareidim; we speak with them and sit with them. We do not hate them, and we are not anti-religious”.

In his words: “The chareidim will learn very well that this time, the hegemony of extortion has ended. We have to have checks and balances. A strong right, secular and kicking”.

When asked about the possibility of running in the upcoming Knesset elections, he responded “We are presently weighing all options. There are many requests from here and there to establish a new party. We are not part of Likud regarding the matter of self-determination”.

He adds that he does think Avigdor Lieberman, who chairs the Yisrael Beitenu party can do it and therefore, a situation must be created in which there can be a right-wing coalition of 63 seats without Lieberman.

  1. I don’t see why he’s not allowed to oppose the extremism of extremists, while others do have permission to do so.
