Litzman: I Will Not Sit In A Government If Health Budget Is Cut

Deputy Health Minister Yaakov Litzman told Galei Tzahal (Army Radio) correspondent Meir Marziano on Thursday that if the Health Ministry’s budget is cut, he will not enter the coalition government.

Litzman was referring to rumors of cuts due to a government fiscal crisis and due to the need to fund afternoon programs.

Litzman actually is seeking an addition NIS 5 billion for the health budget, insisting he will not tolerate any cuts.

  1. Well, there are many of us that don’t want Litzman to be on the government, so go ahead, keep your threats & stay away from harming people. We will not forgive him for protecting pedophiles among others.

  2. fiscal crisis and due to the need to fund afternoon programs. Let us rephrase this correctly:- fiscal crisis due to a 2nd election in such a short space of time.

  3. Yashir kocho. Whatever you think of the other positions of the parties in this meshugenneh government, he at least knows what the priorities are in health – the good of the people. Let them cut the expense accounts of the Prime Minister and cabinet, but make sure that every child in Israel has proper care.

  4. The Gedolim did not send him to the Knesset Haminim to protect the health budget.
Where are his equivalent statements on Torah u’mitzvos, Shabbos, “I will not sit in a cabinet with a gay minister” etc??
