Lieberman Attacks Chareidim Again: Accuses Them Of Voting Multiple Times On Election Day

The chairman of the Yisrael Beitenu party, MK Avigdor Lieberman, continues targeting the chareidim in his election campaign. “During elections, the chareidim have a resurrection of the dead. They vote in the morning and then, they vote again and again”.

Lieberman’s attacks against the chareidi politicians and public are not new, and he appears convinced that his chareidi-bashing campaign will earn him additional seats in Knesset in the upcoming election.

During an election event on Wednesday night, Lieberman explained in the areas where some of the participants live, voter turnout in the last election did not reach 60%, but in some chareidi areas such as Meah Shearim and Bnei Brak, voter turnout was 120%!

“During elections, there is a resurrection of the dead among the chareidim, and they all come out and vote. For them, [the chareidim], it is important. They come and vote in the morning and then again in the afternoon. By you, you did not even reach 60% and afterwards, you are comfortable sitting home on your sofa in the living room and you lecture.”

He told the audience that he has been fighting the chareidim, and he personally traveled to Ashdod to support protesters seeking to open commercial centers on Shabbos.

“It is not acceptable that a store that has been operating on Shabbos for 20 years, a business located in a commercial area far from any residents, and six weeks before elections it is closed because chassidim protest.”

He then referred to the construction of the Yehudit Pedestrian Bridge in Tel Aviv and how the chareidim protested the construction on Shabbos, and then the Gerrer boycott of the Phoenicia glass factory in Arad. Now, he explains, the factory is going bankrupt.

He accused the chareidim of “taking the parnasa from those who work while continuing to receive government support”.

He added that regarding a draft law, the current situation has to come to an end and that the chareidim have crossed the red line. “Netanyahu wants a halachic government with Smotrich, with Deri, with Litzman and with Gafne. This is the worst option on the table” he concluded.

  1. Leiberman is a nasty piece of work.If anything, charedim under-vote, because a segment of our population refuses to vote in elections for the ‘treifa medina ,so charedim are actually under-represented in the Knesset.

  2. I was born and raised in Chicago during Mayor Daley (the first) and the slogan we heard was “VOTE EARLY AND VOTE OFTEN”.

However in Chicago those who vote for Daley were treated to a shot of whiskey or a beer each time they voted, but the Charadim don’t get that…..

  3. Lieberman, Kobi and their lo-yutzlach- lackies can all go lick their lollies and suck their thumbs in a corner together every Saturday.
