Improvements At Shamgar Funeral Home In Jerusalem Following Renovations


The Shamgar Funeral Home in Jerusalem has undergone badly needed renovations, which began at the beginning of the year, and they are about to come to an end.

A visit of the funeral home took place on Monday by the director-general of the Ministry of Religious Services, Oded Flus, who was accompanied by Rav Yitzchak Hanau, who is in charge of Jerusalem’s religious buildings, as well as Rav Yitzchak Gelbstein, the director-general of the Chevra Kadisha Clalit – Prushim, Yerushalayim.

Following the renovations, there will no longer be easy access to the rooms where the niftarim are kept, there is a new barrier to prevent unauthorized parking, security cameras have been installed, improved lighting, along with many other necessary modifications that have been included in the renovations, costing NIS 1.5 million.
